Atletico Madrid fullback Filipe Luis admits being eliminated from the Champions League "hurts".

Real Madrid reached the final last night, despite losing the second-leg of the semifinal 2-1.

"We scored both goals, we wanted to continue with the same idea of play but from there Madrid began to take control. We knew that a goal from them would kill us and so it has been," he said.

"I wanted to be a champion. I'm hurt by it. I arrived in 2010 and it was completely different. Now we are a big team, we rub shoulders with the great ones of Europe.

"It is a unique moment for Atleti. I am very sad not to win the title but next year we will have another chance."
