Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has blasted former team-mate Fernando Torres has being a technically poor player.

The Spanish striker managed to score 81 goals from 141 matches in all competitions during his time with the Merseyside club between 2007 and 2011.

He said: "I don't think his head was right as soon as [Xabi] Alonso left.

"He was one of the best strikers in the world at that time, but technically he was quite poor."

At 34, he is currently on the books of Atletico Madrid with whom he started his career.
