Atletico Madrid face being forced to sell Man Utd, Chelsea target Aguero

Sergio Aguero's future is again in doubt at Atletico Madrid after the full extent of the club's debts were revealed. The Daily Mail says there are claims that the club have debts totalling £275million - nearly double previous estimates.

Atleti resisted approaches for Argentina star Aguero from Chelsea and Manchester United in the summer, but could face problems holding on to their prize assets in future.

Fernando Garcia Abasolo, the club's third biggest shareholder, has resigned as their financial vice-president with a warning they could go bankrupt within two years without drastic action.

Atleti's board have previously said debts were around £155m, but Abasolo insists that figures audited at the end of June show the true net figure to be about £275m.

Aguero, who also interests Barcelona and Real Madrid, was told in the summer that he could not leave for less than his buy-out clause, set at about £55m.
