Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone says they must "take care" Antoine Griezmann after his hat-trick for victory at Celta Vigo.

Griezmann struck all three goals as Atletico won 3-0 in Vigo.

Simeone later said: "The overwhelming result does not indicate what happened at the beginning.

"Celta had a good start and we could not associate or advance to do damage. We rushed too much in the first passes and we did not have the associative game. They looked for counterattacks to make damage.

"The penalty changed the situation of the game and then we read well the change in system to be more comfortable and sustain the attack. In the second half it was another game, those who entered did very well as Correa, Molina and Rodrigo gave us a vitality and we resolved the game.

"We have to rest well because the effort is still great, especially for Griezmann who we thought was appropriate not to rotate him. We continue game by game as from the first day I arrived and tomorrow we will think about Celtic.

"We have to take care of Griezmann."
