Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is on Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy's radar.
The Daily Star Sunday says although the North London club last week appointed Tim Sherwood as their head coach on an 18-month contract, doubts persist whether the former White Hart Lane player will survive that long.
And news that Simeone was - and still is - on the club's radar will only crank up the pressure on Sherwood ahead of today's clash with Stoke and next weekend's FA Cup scrap against Arsenal.
No official approach has been made to Simeone as he has made it clear he will not be quitting Atletico in mid-season.
But that situation could change in the summer when a number of Europe's leading clubs are expected to come calling for his services.
