Atletico Madrid are ready to trump Arsenal for Olympique Marseille star Samir Nasri.

The talented Frenchman looked set to complete a proposed move to North London before Euro 2008 kicked off before Arsene Wenger explained any deal would not be wrapped up until after the tournament was concluded.

Now the door has been opened to Atletico, which hope to flatter Nasri into choosing Madrid over London by convincing him they want to build their team around the youngster next season.
