Manchester City are edging closer to signing Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte.

Laporte has reportedly passed the first part of his medical in Spain ahead of a move.

City have agreed a £57m fee for the defender, who now looks set to travel to Manchester on Monday.

City have chosen to meet Laporte's buyout clause so taking Bilbao out of the equation.
