Athletic Bilbao coach Ernesto Valverde expects an even clash with Valencia on Sunday.

Valverde feels the clash will be wide open.

"It's a match against an opponent that is quite similar to us," said Valverde.

"Valencia had a difficult experience here last year, but they will have learned their lessons. They're enthusiastic and approach matches well.

"We want to stand out and keep moving up the table. We have to try to impose our style here at San Mames."

He added: "We're more decisive when it comes to our finishing. We're keeping our focus well in favourable situations.

"I think we've also shown we can withstand pressure, which shows how confident we are. But we have to be consistent and keep fighting every Sunday."
