Atalanta owner Antonio Percassi says they're prepared to buy in January.

Percassi says they'll act if coach Gian Piero Gasperini feels the squad needs to be strengthened.

He said: "We are ready to intervene from January onwards if players are needed to increase the quality and remedy this handicap.

"We are there, also towards the fans. We are in favour of doing things as they should."

He continued: "We are in the round of 16 of the Europa League, we have already achieved first place in the group. Of course, there were some problems with the continuity of results, but the many injuries must be taken into account. Anyone in our situation would have found it difficult."
