Vicenza midfielder Simone Padoin is on his way to Atalanta in a co-ownership deal.

The 23-year-old is considered one of the most promising youngsters around and his move represents a return to Atalanta, where he grew up in the youth team.

The midfielder is yet another product of the Zingonia training centre, where players such as Michele Canini, Riccardo Montolivo, Marco Motta and Giampaolo Pazzini were raised.
