Aston Villa winger Bailey admits 'big six' move in career plans

Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey admits a move to a “big six" team may be on the cards one day.

Bailey was asked about how he can better promote Jamaican football overseas.

He admitted that while he is enjoying his time at Villa, who are fourth in the Premier League, moving to a historically more famous team may have its benefits.

“I've been really focused on being at Aston Villa and finishing the season strong," Bailey said on the Let's Be Honest Podcast.

"It has been one of the best seasons in my career.

“You never know in football, but I am comfortable, happy where I am at. I focus on one thing at a time. I want to continue contributing. Who knows what happens in the future."

He added: "You have big teams in England, they call themselves the big six. The Arsenals and the Chelseas. It has always been my dream to play in the Premier League and I am right now.

“Who wouldn't want to go to a massive team? Especially coming out of Jamaica, do you know how big that is for the country? Especially being who I am as well.

“It would shine more light and that has been my focus whenever overseas. It is to use my platform to be able to shine light on the country and the young talents. It's difficult for us Jamaicans to even make it to Europe.

"I don't know how to answer that question, but I'd have to see in the moment."
