Aston Villa are unlikely to sell Richard Dunne to Arsenal.
The Daily Mail says Arsenal have shown interest in Dunne as they look around at alternatives for their defence but a deal is unlikely at this stage.
Villa do need to recoup cash as they look to spend £24m on Darren Bent and manager Gerard Houllier is keen to bring in at least one more defender with Montpellier's Emir Spahic and Blackburn's Chris Samba among his targets.
Yet the money Arsenal would offer for Dunne would barely scratch the surface on their outlay.
