Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is moving for Middlesbrough winger Stewart Downing as he prepares to lose Ashley Young.
Young is wanted by Manchester United, Barcelona and Tottenham and the Daily Star Sunday says O'Neill is already chasing another left-sided player in the shape of Middlesbrough and England wide-man Downing.
Boro have made Downing available for £10 million after he committed himself to the second-half of last season, despite offers to quit.
