Aston Villa are ready to make a move for River Plate star Julian Alvarez.

TNT Sports says Villa are set to make a bid for the Argentina international before the end of this week.

The 23-year-old forward is the latest attacking target for Villa, who have already signed Emi Buendia from Norwich City.

He is likely to form a foursome in attack that also includes Jack Grealish and Ollie Watkins.

Despite media reports in England, Villa do not plan on selling Grealish this summer, according to BirminghamLive.
