Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe is wanted back at Aston Villa.

Football Insider says rhe versatile defender, 23, is the subject of “concrete" interest from the club he helped bring back to the Premier League in 2019 whilst on loan.

Villa manager Dean Smith is said to be seeking competition for Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa as Bjorn Engels is set to depart and return to Belgium.

Tuanzebe was only selected to play on 19 occasions by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last season and the academy graduate has one year remaining on his Old Trafford contract.

Solskjaer is willing to allow the defender to leave on-loan this summer.
