Aston Villa forward Gabby Agbonlahor has won his appeal against the red card he received last weekend.
The 28-year old was given his marching orders by referee Lee Mason in the 65th minute of Villa's 1-1 draw with Manchester United for a challenge on Ashley Young.
The decision was criticised by many in the media and also drew negativity from Villa boss Paul Lambert prompting the club to appeal on Monday morning.
The Football Association has since overturned the red card meaning Agbonlahor is free to play in the Boxing Day clash with Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
Lambert said: "It's great news for us and I said at the time I didn't think it was a red card.
"Common sense has prevailed and it's especially pleasing because Gabby is playing really well at the moment.
"We're still missing a few players and we don't want to lose another of our big players. Gabby was shocked by it and down but I told him not to worry because it was the wrong decision."
