Aston Villa have denied a pic of Stewart Downing with a Liverpool scarf is real.
It did not take Villa too long to respond and claim the photo was a fake yesterday. The grainy quality caused some people to question it from the start.
Villa eventually suggested that it had been doctored and the Liverpool scarf added later on. A spokesman said: "I've seen the picture and I spoke to him. He had heard about it, someone had told him.
"He said it was absolutely not real, he did not stand there with a Liverpool scarf. It looks fake and the point is Stewart has confirmed that's the case."
