Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has surprisingly been linked with a move to Aston Villa.
It wasreported this week that Koscielny had been informed that he could leave the club by manager Unai Emery.
According to CalcioMercato,Championship outfit Villa have put their hand up to sign the 33-year-old centre-back.
Despite sitting in 17th on the table, Villa are undoubtedly one of the biggest English clubs outside the Premier League and are looking to drive back up the table with a busy January window.
Koscielny could just be the man to spearhead their defence with Villa boss Dean Smith having only Axel Tuanzebe and James Chester to call upon at centre-back.
