Aston Villa manager Dean Smith hopes James Chester will return to action during the international break.

Wales international Chester has yet to feature this term after injuring his hamstring against Shrewsbury Town.

Speaking after Saturday's loss to Crystal Palace, Smith said: "It has been a frustrating one with his hamstring injury but I am hoping he will be back in training during the international break."

Chester may find it hard to break into Smith's team given the form of Tyrone Mings and Bjorn Engels.
