Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier is shopping in Russia to lift his squad.
The Mirror says Villa are poised to make a £1m move for Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Alan Gatagov.
Gatagov, 19, is one of the rising stars in Russia and has been outstanding for his club this season.
Houllier is also keen on Spartak Moscow winger Aiden McGeady.
