Aston Villa are very eager to sign Hearts midfield prospect Ewan Simpson.

The Scotland youth star has attracted interest from several clubs in England.

He has impressed for his country's and Hearts' Under-18 sides.

Villa are working hard to convince him to come to England, and the Daily Mail suggests that a deal could be close.

Hearts would have to work out compensation with Villa, if the signing goes through.

Simpson is only 15, but he is already impressing at Under-18 level.

Villa may believe he can make the step up to the Under-23s in the next couple of years.
