Aston Villa expect an answer next week from released Chelsea captain John Terry.

Villa do not expect a decision on their contract offer to Chelsea hero Terry until next week, says the Daily Star.

Steve Bruce has offered the 36-year-old a lucrative deal with his Blues deal set to expire on June 30.

Terry is said to have received many offers including that of Villa's rivals Birmingham.

The former England captain has been keeping himself in shape while on holiday in Portugal.

And he has been playing golf with Villa manager Bruce on several occasions.
