Aston Villa are set to challenge Tottenham for Juventus striker Amauri.
Amauri has revived his career on-loan at Parma, where his goals have fired the Ducali out of the dropzone since his January arrival.
The striker's agent, Enzo Bronzetti, revealed contact with Tottenham yesterday.
However, Turin sources say Aston Villa are also chasing the Brazilian-born Italy international ahead of the summer market.
Amauri would move to Villa Park as a replacement for the released John Carew.
