Premier League giants Aston Villa are closing in on a club record deal for Bayer Leverkusen forward Moussa Diaby.

The Midlands club are working hard to secure the French winger in a deal that will go to £50 million including add ons.

Per The Mail, the Premier League side have beaten interest from the Saudi Pro League to secure Diaby.

Leverkusen could have accepted either bid, while Diaby had been offered a higher salary in Saudi.

However, he is ambitious about making it in the most watched league on the planet.

Villa boss Unai Emery will be delighted to have snagged his primary attacking target.
