Aston Villa ace Grealish reveals England camp 'getting along like a house on fire'

Aston Villa star Jack Grealish says everyone is getting along within the England camp.

Despite coming from Premier League sides that have fierce rivalries and facing serious competition for places in the starting lineup, everyone in the Three Lions squad is working towards a common goal.

Grealish, who got an assist off the bench in England's 2-0 round of 16 win over Germany, spoke about the close bond within the group ahead of their quarter final against Ukraine.

"I didn't think I would ever be hugging a Blue [Birmingham City player]," Grealish told reporters.

"Well, an ex-Blues player in Jude (Bellingham).

"It's like a group of friends playing together.

"You have rivalries on a Saturday and then you come here and people are getting on like a house on fire."

On playing for England, Grealish added: "It makes me so happy and proud when you just personally hear the crowd singing my name.

"It could be too much pressure for some people but I just want to repay that back by scoring or getting an assist.

"Villa fans give me so much love, I go out there and try to repay them.

"When I come here, it is different. I get booed every single week by these fans!

"When I speak to my mum and dad, they think it's so nice that people are not going '**** him, if he was at Villa we'd boo him every week'.

"They are all giving me that support. It is unbelievable."
