Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has hinted Alexandre Lacazette could stay at the club beyond this season.
The Frenchman has been excellent form recently and has become a quality leader for Arteta's team.
Lacazette is still expected to leave as a free agent this summer, but Arteta has hinted that the Gunners are trying to keep him at the Emirates.
"I think with Alex it's very clear what he brings to the team," Arteta told the club's website ahead of Wednesday's clash with Liverpool.
"He's shown it consistently since I've been here, and what we have to resolve is the contractual timing, in the best possible way, and when we all align on the same page."
Barcelona and Lyon have both been linked with the 30-year-old.
