Arsenal face a club v country row over Theo Walcott.

England U21 boss Stuart Pearce believes he will want to be part of the squad should they reach the European Championship finals.

That is likely to bring him into conflict with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, who will probably want to rest the teenager.

Pearce said: "I know Theo and he will want to come and play for me if we qualify. He has played a big part in getting us this far.

"The experience would benefit him and might just tip the scales in us winning the tournament."
