Arsenal's Walcott, Beckham set for England recall

Arsenal attacker Theo Walcott is set to win an England recall.

The Daily Mail says England manager Fabio Capello will hold a meeting with his coaching staff at Soho Square on Wednesday afternoon to rubber stamp his 30-man squad and Walcott will be on that list, which will be trimmed to 23 to travel to France on Tuesday.

LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham's international future will also be resolved and he is inching towards a recall for the friendly against France at the Stade de France.

Beckham's chances of a return improved after Capello's righthand man Franco Baldini visited Dallas last weekend when he heard Galaxy coach Ruud Gullit speak highly of Beckham.

Baldini also saw Arsenal's 2-0 win over European Cup holders AC Milan two weeks ago and was so taken with Walcott's display as a substitute that he recommended the 19-year-old for a senior recall.
