Arsenal defender Phillippe Senderos was delighted with his performance for AC Milan in their 1-0 victory over UEFA Cup opponents Braga.

"It was quite a difficult game for me from a physical point of view but I felt better as the match went on," Senderos explained.

"It's a very positive thing that we didn't concede but I hadn't played an official game in a long time and I need to regain my condition to get back to my best.

"I felt tired at the end of the game and now I need to recover well. Happily this ends a difficult period after arriving at a club and being unable to prove my ability.

"The big thing was that we picked up the three points. Sunday's game at Lecce will be difficult like any away game, but I'll see how I'm feeling."
