Arsenal's Bendtner staying patient

Arsenal supersub Nicklas Bendtner says he'll grab any minutes he can after scoring a late equaliser in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Aston Villa.

Dane Bendtner declared after his sixth goal of the season: "I want to help the team any way I can. If the boss wants me to do it that way then I will do it as a sub.

"Obviously, every player wants to be in the starting XI and I am no different.

"But that's not to be at the moment so I'll just carry on doing my job and helping the team in any way that I can."

Bendtner, 20, believes he can build a formidable partnership with Emmanuel Adebayor - the pair having put their differences behind them following a high-profile bust-up during the defeat at Tottenham in the semi-final of the Carling Cup.

"Every time I have come on, we play all right together," he said. "Defenders have more problems because suddenly defenders have two big, strong guys to deal with up front.

"It seems always that I can change things when I come on so it's good - but whether I play with Ade, or whoever plays up front, we all do what we do and give our best for the team."
