Arsenal young gun Benik Afobe has praise manager Arsene Wenger for making some quality signings late in the transfer window.

The 18-year old striker says the additions of Mikel Arteta, Yossi Benayoun, Per Mertesacker, Andre Santos and Park Chu-young are all good ones and is confident it will kickstart the Gunners' season after a poor beginning.

"I think the boss has done a very good job with these signings - maybe even better than people expected," he told the club's official website.

"It's good that the boss has bought some more experienced players. We know what they can do and the way they play is very good. I've been watching Arteta and Benayoun for five years, and it's good that they have come from other English clubs because you know that they are proven in the Premier League.

"We know they are going to fit in well - they are Arsenal kind of players and they are going to be great additions to the squad."
