Chuba Akpom admits he has learned some valuable lessons from his loan stint with Hull City.
The 20-year-old striker, who is on a season-long spell from Arsenal, threw a tantrum when substitute by Tigers manager Steve Bruce in December.
Akpom threw his gloves towards Bruce when he was replaced which prompted a chat with the former Manchester United defender.
The Gunners youngster has revealed a heart-to-heart with Bruce has helped educate him on how to behave, culminating in him scoring a hat-trick in the weekend's 3-1 FA Cup fourth round win at Bury.
"I could have been sent back to Arsenal by another manager," said Akpom.
"Now I let my anger show more on the pitch and by working harder. I can only learn from that. The gaffer sat me down and said he loves my competitive side, just not like that. I learned more from that than if he had sent me home.
"I have got my head down since and I won't do that again. I just want to play. Sometimes I come across the wrong way. I was frustrated, but I get on with it now."
Coincidentally, Hull will now take on Akpom's parent club Arsenal in the fifth round of the cup on the weekend of February 20.
