Arsenal winger Walcott: We are aware of Carroll Liverpool threat

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott says they know they face a test tomorrow against Liverpool striker Andy Carroll.

Walcott insists his team-mates are fully aware of the threat they will face.

"Carroll is the sort of player who gets other players involved in the game because he holds the ball up very well," said Walcott, who grew up as a Liverpool supporter.

"He has got a very good football brain considering how young he is. He is so strong in the air, he would win every single header put up there and he did that against us earlier in the season.

"He has a great left foot but can hit them with his right as well and he is clever. He plays that role of a traditional striker and I like to see that.

"He has moulded his game on Alan Shearer and he has got a bit of class. He has got everything but hopefully we can keep him wraps. I think Liverpool will be more worried about us going forward and hopefully we can score a goal at the Emirates because we haven't done that for a while. We want to give the supporters something to cheer about and if we get an early one, it could be a really good day for us."
