Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ramping up his bid for Santos star Paulo Henrique Ganso. The Daily Mail says a senior scout will watch him when Brazil take on Great Britain at Middlesbrough on Friday.

Wenger wants to sign a new attacking midfielder this summer as he looks to give his side a fresh dimension in the attacking third and Ganso features prominently on the Frenchman's list.

The Gunners were interested in signing Chelsea-bound Oscar - but Wenger is now primed to turn his attentions to 22-year-old Ganso.
