Arsenal U18 coach Wilshere excited to host FAYC tie at Emirates

Arsenal U18 coach Jack Wilshere is delighted with their FA Youth Cup progress after Monday's 4-2 win against Watford.

A second-half penalty brace from Amario Cozier-Duberry, supported by goals from Osman Kamara and Michal Rosiak in between, completed a remarkable turnaround from 2-0 down.

On the comeback, Wilshere said: “I give full credit to the boys because I can give them instructions but it's for them to put it into action.

“To come back in the second half and score four goals shows real character and desire.

“When you're two goals down, you need to play with a fire in you and have the desire to win. The boys have this never say die attitude and coupled with the quality they have it's hard for teams to play against us."

With the win, Arsenal are rewarded with a home tie in the next round against Cambridge United or Sheffield Wednesday which will take place at Emirates Stadium.

On the opportunity of coaching at home, Wilshere told arsenal.com, “I can't wait to be honest, it sounds mad that I'll be on that touchline.

“But most importantly, I'm so excited for the boys because they deserve this chance and we're all looking forward to it."
