Arsenal face being priced out of a move for Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill.
The Daily Star says this week, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will step up his search for a new centre-back.
Bolton defender Cahill is his No.1 choice, though the Gunners would need to find around £18m.
German international Per Mertesacker would be a cheaper option, with Werder Bremen likely to do business for £10m.
