Espanyol striker Raul de Tomas is interesting former club Real Madrid.

Real Madrid see De Tomas as potential cover for veteran centre-forward Karim Benzema.

AS says De Tomas is aware he is on Real Madrid's shortlist of candidates and is waiting for news regarding whether their interest will firm up.

Espanyol will be reluctant to sell, though are willing to part with the striker for €25-30m.

Along with Real Madrid, De Tomas is also under consideration at Arsenal.
