Arsenal have made a new offer for Ajax defender Jurrien Timber.
The Gunners failed with a bid of £30m for Timber a week ago.
Since then, Arsenal have reached personal terms with the defender, who has been insisting the Gunners are now his favoured destination.
The Daily Mail says Arsenal have returned to Ajax with an improved bid of £41.5m for the Holland international.
Ajax have been seeking £50m to sell Timber, but are understood to be willing to compromise.
