Arsenal have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez.

The Mirror says any potential switch now looks in doubt, as Suarez has been named in Barcelona's squad for the Copa Del Rey clash with Levante on Thursday.

The news will come as a disappointment to Arsenal, who were hopeful of signing the player on an initial loan deal this month.

But the inclusion of Suarez implies he is still considered part of first-team plans at the Nou Camp, raising question marks over whether Barca would let him leave the club.

Any deal for Suarez is said to involve him moving to the Emirates on an initial loan, with plans for a permanent £18m switch in the summer.
