Alexandre Lacazette admits Olivier Giroud's departure from Arsenal in January was "strange".
The striker left the Gunners for Chelsea, where he has since fired them into the FA Cup final.
Lacazette told SFR Sport: "The situation was weird with Giroud? It's true, it was a bit strange but we lived it well.
"There is a lot of respect between us. He welcomed me when I arrived here, explained the operation of the club, the city.
"From the moment Aubameyang arrived in the transfer window and the coach had recruited me, it was tough for him. Last summer, I knew his choice was to leave."
