Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud insists he didn't need Mesut Ozil to arrive to kickstart his goal-scoring form. Giroud insists that his goal-scoring success isn't only down to the arrival of the club's record signing Ozil.

"People will say it is easier to score for Arsenal now that Ozil is here," he told The Sun on Sunday.

"And when Giroud scores, it will be because Ozil was there.

"But I was already scoring before Ozil arrived."
