Arsenal youngster Eddie Nketiah believes he can lead the line for the club in the long term.
The centre forward enjoyed his breakthrough season at the club under coach Mikel Arteta last term.
Nketiah was second choice to Gabriel Jesus, but has had many weeks of starting time due to the Brazilian's injury issues.
"I've always believed I could lead the line," he told the Evening Standard.
"At that time the team were in a really good spot, top of the table, and I wanted to be part of that, to contribute and keep us there" he added on the Jesus injury.
"I was really proud of that run. It shows the quality I have and people got to notice that. I want to build on that this season, get more game time, show more consistency."
