Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, Barcelona keeper Bravo land Copa America awards

Chile's Alexis Sanchez has been won the 2016 Copa America Golden Ball.

The Arsenal star has been voted as Player of the Tournament after helping La Roja clinch a second-straight Copa America with a penalty shootout win over Argentina in the final in New Jersey on Sunday.

Sanchez, 27, scored three times throughout the competition but his impact on Juan Antonio Pizzi's side has not gone unnoticed by scooping the main individual prize at Copa America Centenario.

The Gunners attacker was not the only Chile player to clinch an award at Copa 2016 with Hoffenheim striker Eduardo Vargas landing the Golden Boot for his six goals, after sharing the award with Peru's Paolo Guerrero last year, and goalkeeper Barcelona's Claudio Bravo the Golden Gloves for best goalkeeper at the tournament, having also won the same award in 2015.

After it ended 0-0 after 120 minutes, Chile held their nerve in the shootout to win 4-2 on penalties to become the first team since Argentina in 1946 and 1947 to win back-to-back Copa America titles.
