Birmingham City are pushing to complete a loan move for Arsenal's Auston Trusty.

The American defender has been with Arsenal since January, when he signed from Colorado Rapids.

While he is highly rated, Arsenal believe that Trusty would do well with an experience of English football in the Championship.

According to the Birmingham Mail, the 6ft 3in centre-back will be the club's third loan signing of the summer, after the arrivals of Dion Sanderson and Przemyslaw Placheta.

Birmingham are hoping to make a push to gain promotion to the Premier League this term.
