Arsenal signing Lucas Perez has paid tribute to former club Deportivo La Coruna.

Lucas signed for the Gunners earlier this week and is grateful to the Riazor for the platform it offered him.

"Reaching out to the Gunners represents a great leap forward for my career, but I want to thank Depor for everything it has given me," Lucas told Marca.

"I achieved a dream to play there when no one knew me.

"Deportivo is a great club, they'll continue to be so without me."
