Arsenal seek quick agreement for Roma midfielder Pellegrini

Arsenal boss Unai Emery looks to set to get business started at the Emirates this summer by bringing in Lorenzo Pellegrini from Roma for £27 million.

However, the club will have to move quickly if they want to get the deal completed.

The midfielder's agent has already spoken to the Gunners according to reports in the Mirror.

The 22-year-old has caught the eye of several clubs, with Arsenal facing competition from Tottenham, AC Milan and Inter Milan for his signature.

But Roma are in no hurry to sell and want to tie him to a new deal to remove a clause in his contract that says he can move for 30million euros (£27m).

That fee would be payable in two equal instalments, and such a deal would suit Emery's Arsenal, who are operating on a limited budget this summer after failing to qualify for next season's Champions League.
