Arsenal are ready to rumble Barcelona's contract talks with Sergio Busquets.

The Daily Mail says Busquets, 20, is regarded as one of the best young midfielders in Europe and has broken into the Barcelona first team this season.

After seeing Mathieu Flamini and Alexander Hleb leave the club during the summer, Arsene Wenger is keen to strengthen his midfield and would jump at the chance to sign another talented youngster.

Barcelona have offered a new deal to Busquets but he has yet to pledge his long-term future to the club which could spark a fierce battle for his signature in the New Year.
