Arsenal are weighing up a late January market move for Espanyol striker Raul de Tomas.

Seeking a centre-forward signing this month, Arsenal have been frustrated in their attempts to land Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic and are now considering alternatives.

AS says De Tomas is being considered and have had their scouts follow his progress this season.

The former Real Madrid striker's form was confirmed when he earned a first call-up to Luis Enrique's Spain squad earlier this term.

Any move for De Tomas in the coming week will be difficult for the Gunners given the lack of time for Espanyol to find a replacement.
