After scoring for Arsenal in last night's victory over Reading, Mathieu Flamini again reflected on how close he came to quitting the club in the summer.

The French midfielder said: "I was close to leaving.

"But I am here and I am happy. Everything is going well for me. We have a great spirit and we all enjoy it out there on the pitch. We are playing with high confidence but we also work hard. To win the championship is a marathon. You have to win every game."
