Jurrien Timber is set to undergo an Arsenal medical at the beginning of the week.
Ajax have accepted an offer of £40m from Arsenal for the defender, having rejected a £30m bid last week.
Timber has verbally agreed terms with Arsenal as contracts are being drawn up today.
He will undergo a medical with the Gunners at the start of next week, says the London Evening Standard.
Meanwhile, Timber has been using Ajax's training facilities to get himself ready for the Arsenal medical tests.
